You'll create your Zone of Genius Statement you can use to evaluate every career decision you make from here.

You have spent years being good at things.

Good at the stakeholder management. Good at the detail work. Good at holding things together when everything is moving at once. You have the performance reviews to prove it. You have probably been promoted because of it.

But here is the thing nobody tells you mid-career.

Being good at something is not the same as being built for it. And building a career around the wrong one is exhausting in a way that is very hard to explain to people who have not experienced it.

The Real Strengths Assessment Workbook helps you find the difference.

Not through a personality test. Not through a generic quiz. Through five structured questions that surface the patterns you have probably been sitting on for years, and a framework that turns those patterns into one clear statement you can actually use.

It takes under an hour. It is free. And it tends to produce the kind of clarity that people say they wish they had done ten years earlier.

What You Will Walk Away With

By the time you reach the final page, you will have:

  • A clear understanding of the difference between what drains you and what energises you, even when you are equally good at both

  • Answers to five questions that reveal your natural strengths, including the ones you have been dismissing as obvious

  • A written summary of the recurring themes across your strengths, pulled together using the Pattern Finder

  • Your Zone of Genius Statement, one sentence that captures what you are most naturally built to do and the impact it creates

  • A clear sense of what to do next with what you have uncovered

This Is for You If

  • You are mid-career and something feels off, but you cannot quite name what it is

  • You are good at your job but it does not feel like the right job

  • You have been thinking about a career pivot but do not know where to start

  • You are returning to work after a career break and want to go back into something that actually fits

  • You keep getting feedback about your strengths that does not match what you thought they were

  • You want to make a deliberate move rather than just taking whatever comes next

What Is Inside the Workbook

Part 1: The Three Types of Good At

A short, clear framework that explains the difference between Learned Competence, Developed Strengths, and your Zone of Genius. Read this first. It changes how you interpret everything else.

Part 2: The Five Questions

Five structured questions, each with a prompt explaining what to look for and space to write your answers. These are not abstract reflection prompts. They are pattern detectors, and they work because most of us have been answering these questions in our heads for years without writing them down.

Part 3: The Pattern Finder

Three prompts that ask you to look across all five answers and pull out what keeps coming up. This is where the clarity lands. Most people find this section produces one or two realisations that feel both surprising and completely obvious at the same time.

Part 4: Your Zone of Genius Statement

A fill-in-the-blank template that produces one sentence capturing what you are most naturally built to do, what it achieves for others, and what it feels like when you are operating at your best. This is your navigation tool for every career decision that follows.

Part 5: What Happens Next

A clear, honest explanation of how to build a career direction around what you have just uncovered, and where to go if you want a structured path to do that properly.

A Note From Katie

I spent a long time being excellent at things that were slowly hollowing me out. I was good at them. I was rewarded for them. And for years I mistook being rewarded for something as evidence that it was right for me.

It was not until I did this kind of structured strengths mapping properly that I understood the difference between what I had trained myself to do and what I was actually built for. That distinction changed the direction of my career entirely.

I built this workbook because I see the same pattern in almost every woman I work with. They are good at far more than they realise, and stuck doing things that only use a fraction of what they are genuinely capable of.

This workbook will not solve everything. But it will give you a much clearer picture of what you are working with. And that is always the right place to start.

If you are ready to go further once you have completed it, Module 1 of The Next Chapter Career Programme will show you how to take what you have uncovered and turn it into a clear career direction with a plan behind it.

But start here. The workbook first.
